Comment of the Day

They were so busy stealing so much they forgot they were supposed to keep the records. Or did they steal so much they became afraid they would be caught so they lost the records (evidence) on purpose. We will never really know the truth.

We, as a nation, lost our way when we began to equate brains and accolade to whoever made the most money. It didn't matter how they gathered this money, only that they possessed it. We have digressed into worshipping thieves, crooks and in some cases we have even excused child molesters, racist and the worst misogynist and welcomed them back into the fold.......All because they had wealth. We proudly stand next to these individuals and wait to shake their hands with full knowledge that they have contributed to the destruction of others. We have become so stupid that we call the stores and ask them to schedule us to awake early so we can run to Wal-mart on the day after Thanksgiving smiling as we greet senior citizens who we know are working for minimum wage, sometimes eating cat food to survive, and we demand they give us directions to the latest loss leader that we woke up to get for our little Johnny. This year I read it will be 32 inch flat-screens for $199.00 to lure us into their stores. We have become a nation unconcerned for the welfare of our neighbors obsessed with that stupid clichés "He who dies with the most toys wins and pull yourself up by your own bootstraps". It never dawns on us that the person we're speaking to is completely barefooted.

We have been had, we've been hoodwinked and we've been bamboozled into thinking just like the selfish rich people who have always only cared about themselves. They programmed us with advance knowledge that if they could get us to act and think like them we would become so self-centered we wouldn't care if they stole "the rest" of the money while we wined and dined ourselves into oblivion. It worked! We now have poor, trailer park, ghetto neighborhood residents eagerly standing in line to vote for the Koch brothers theories and calling for bus rides on the Tea Party express to stand up for the "Constitution" and support them as they complete the destruction of our planet, for profit. They tricked us into believing it was everyman for himself and now we don't even have any money to go to Wal-mart on the day after Thanksgiving. We will be happy to watch the others enjoying the fruits of our protests on TV and we won't even be able to afford the $199.00 for the flat-screen TV this year so we will get our joy by vicariously watching others get the deal and grinning like fools. What in the world did we allow to happen to us?
