Rachel brings up the point that Keith's suspension for breaking the rules proves MSNBC is not Fox News.

GE owns MSNBC, and they make political contributions. Comcast is buying all the NBC networks, and they make political contributions.

The whole thing is just corporate suits trying to censor a centrist voice like Olbermann to enforce rightist orthodoxy on a cable network.

That's my take too. Olbermann is one of the smartest, most compassionate and professional journalistic ranters we have out there. It's obvious that he has high regard for journalism in the Edward R. Murrow vein.

He uses his acerbic wit to clown around to be sure, but his Friday readings of Thurber, for instance, shows how he always trying to elevate the discussion and his audience.

And the war and time marches on.
